EWP Ticket Brisbane

Your EWP ticket Brisbane for boom-type elevated work platforms over 11 metres is a legal requirement before you operate any telescopic or knuckle boom lift on a Queensland worksite. Principal contractors across Brisbane enforce it - no ticket, no access to the machine.

Shamrock Training runs EWP ticket Brisbane courses every week from our Northgate training centre. Our trainers have worked at height on real sites - so the practical side reflects what the job actually looks like. Same day statement of attainment, every time.

FAQs - EWP Ticket Brisbane

  • What is the difference between the EWP ticket and the Yellow Card?

The EWP ticket Brisbane covers elevated work platforms over 11 metres - telescopic booms and knuckle booms. The Yellow Card covers EWPs under 11 metres including scissor lifts. If you operate both types, you need both tickets.

  • Can I operate a scissor lift with my EWP boom type ticket?

No. It only covers platforms over 11m. For scissor lifts and platforms under 11m, you need the Yellow Card. We can help you book both at the same time.

  • Do I need an EWP ticket even if my employer has trained me internally?

Yes. Internal employer training doesn't replace the legal requirement for a formal HRWL. Principal contractors require the ticket regardless of how experienced you are or how much internal training you've had.

  • How long is the EWP ticket Brisbane valid for in Queensland?

The EWP HRWL issued by WorkSafe Queensland does not expire once issued. It remains valid unless cancelled.

  • Is the EWP ticket Brisbane valid in other states?

Yes. High risk work licences issued in Queensland are nationally recognised and valid across all Australian states and territories.
