FAQs - Rigging Course

  • Do I need a Dogging ticket before I enrol in Rigging?

Yes. Before starting Rigging, you generally need to have completed the required Dogging unit CPCCLDG3001 or already hold a valid DG licence. This ensures you have the foundation skills needed before progressing into rigging work.

  • Which Rigging course should I complete first?

Students start with Basic Rigging (RB). Rigging levels must be completed in order: Basic Rigging, then Intermediate Rigging, then Advanced Rigging. You cannot skip directly to a higher level.

  • How long does it take to complete all Rigging levels?

Each Rigging course usually runs for 5 days. Completing Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Rigging requires around 15 training days in total. Many students gain workplace experience between each level before moving on to the next course.

  • Does Shamrock support regional or interstate Rigging students?

Students travelling from regional Queensland or interstate can contact Shamrock Training before booking to discuss available support options. Availability may vary, so it is best to get in touch early.
